Dr. Priya Patel received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She completed her residency in ocular disease at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she received specialized training in cornea, retina and glaucoma at the internally-renowned Wilmer Eye Institute at John Hopkins. Dr. Patel has presented a continuing education lecture at the Wilmer Eye Institute and a poster at an American Academy of Optometry meeting. She is an active member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, and the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honors Society. She is currently pursuing her Fellowship. Dr. Patel has traveled to Mexico, Jamaica and Honduras on mission trips to provide eye care in underserved communities. She speaks fluent Gujurati.
