Dr. Shlomit Sandler is ,",a glaucoma specialist. She practices glaucoma screening, the medical and surgical management of mild, moderate and advanced glaucoma, and cataract evaluation and surgery. Dr. Sandler completed her Bachelor’s degree at Harvard University, and went on to medical school at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She completed a research fellowship in glaucoma at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary under the mentorship of Drs. Robert Ritch and Jeffrey Liebmann.  After completing her internship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, she returned to the Bronx, where she was a resident in Ophthalmology at the Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She then completed her fellowship in glaucoma at Tufts Medical Center. Dr. Sandler has presented posters at numerous national conferences and has published in the areas of anterior and posterior segment imaging. She has a particular interest in patient education and compliance, and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society.
