The eKloud™ - Reengineering The Contact List

Happy New Year everyone. Last December 2017, we released our first and second tangible products for commercial sales in the US market. We also promised to deliver 2 new products in the first quarter of 2018.

So, to live up to that promise, I spent the past two weeks during the bitter cold of winter in New York City, developing the next products that will compliment our universal contact information service. Today, I am happy to announce the release of the eKloud™ Contact List Service or simply the Kloud* - a managed, online contact list that can be shared publicly or in a closed group. It is designed to store the contact links of users registered in Kontakme and other managed contact lists. The service is meant to make it possible to share and mentally memorize a very large contact list using only a single URL. Like for instance, you can easily memorize the contact info of all your officemates in the department using a memorable contact link. I applied the same principles that were used in the basic contact link service that we offer to achieve the practical conveniences that you would normally disregard. You can look at it as a managed directory for public or closed user groups. But unlike the ordinary contact list in the smartphone or computer, it does not eat up the device's memory and processing power. Whether you have 1000 or 10,000 entries in the contact list, your smartphone's responsiveness is not affected. Technically, there is no limit as to how many contact links and managed contact list you can store in it as it does not consume permanent storage memory in the device. The commercial subscriptions however are offered with a capacity cap. The basic annual subscription will give you a maximum of 1000 entries. To go above 1000 entries, we offer a premium subscription for a small amount of additional fee. It is accessible via a web browser on any Internet enabled device making it a truly cross platform solution.

So what are the benefits of using the eKloud Contact List compared to other systems or stand alone contact lists.

1. Simplified Administration: The main responsibility of the owner of a specific eKloud Contact Lists is reduced to two simple tasks namely Add and Remove user contact links and other contact lists from the contact list being managed. It becomes the responsibility of each contact link user in the contact list to update their own accounts for any changes that occur such as a change of phone number, address, work position or employer. Why is this so? Who else can provide a more accurate contact information but the owner of the contact info. Maintaining contact lists should not be a chore anymore.
2. Minimal Technical Specialty Required: It is very easy to learn and does not require a high level of computer skill. As long as you know how to open a URL using a web browser and you know how to identify symbols, that's all it takes. Unlike corporate contact lists that require the IT, HR and Department Manager coordination to update a single contact list, the Kloud contact list can be maintained at the department level by a single person, freeing up the IT and HR resources to do what they're really supposed to do.
3. Easy to Share: Social media is now considered one of the best customer service feedback platform and being able to easily share your customer services contact info is considered a must for service oriented companies. Just like the contact link that we are offering, it can easily be shared verbally, visually or in digital form such as in an SMS text, a tweet or a post in a Facebook.
4. Ease of Integration: The contact list can also be used in your existing website, in your printed media, as a broadcasted URL in advertising beacons and in any scanning technology (QR codes, Optical Character Recognition, Graphics Recognition, Physical Web frameworks and more). Instead of posting phone numbers for the different departments of your company in the website, use the Kloud Contact List to create a single contact link that can easily be shared and memorized by the public.
5. Memorable: The contact lists are presented as readable URLs and anybody who is interested in mentally memorizing the contact list can do so easily.
6. Cross Platform Capability: The web browser is the only app that you can find that is pre installed in any smartphone, computer or tablet that allows for universal access and connectivity to any online service that needs no special development and costs nothing.
7. Opens new revenue streams: Coupled with our BLEU product lines (BLEU beacons), it is a powerful tool that allows event organizers and ad publishers sell contact list spots for broadcasting in trade shows, apartment complexes, multi-dwelling housing complex and in areas where there is high people density.

* The service can only store contact links that are assigned by Kontakme. This means that if you want to create and manage a Kloud Contact List for say 1000 people, all 1000 people need to register and get a contact link. These contact links are then added individually by the administrator of the Kloud contact list. Kontakme also offers a full-turn key service that handles bulk account creation and contact list creation.
